Lowering the FMR as proposed would worsen an already bad situation in Larimer County. Rent rates have been rising drastically over the last two years in Fort Collins and Loveland, and with the current fair market rate it is already hard for Section 8 families to find housing that they can afford with their voucher. Lowering the rates, as proposed, would make it nearly impossible for our low income families to find units they can rent.
