You are not helping these types of (non)taxpayers. This is not money they earned or worked for, it is FREE money (EIC) given to them to reward unproductive behavior. They will find a way to get that money quick and don't care what it costs. MOST of the people claiming the EIC would not qualify if IRS inforced the requirements. It only encourages people to not marry but have children they cannot afford out of wedlock and then cheat on their taxes. If the government wants to help these folks they should abolish the EIC and reward people for productive responsible behavior. While they are at it, close down the pay-day loan businesses too. They are the real crooks in taking from someone who can't afford it.
