Determination of Governmental Plan Status (157714-06)

To exclude charter schools such as ours from the New Jersey State Pension Plan when we have been enrolled in it for over 14 years would be a horrible blow. We are public schools. Our teachers are fully certified. They have come here to work in part because of the security of the public pension plan. I could understand excluding new charter schools from the state pension plan, but pulling the rug out from under these teachers who have trusted that they would be in the state pension plan would be particularly cruel.
