The look back period is being abused by some community colleges and universities in an attempt to evade the ACA on adjunct faculty. Some full time equivalents are mandated not to exceed 30 contact hours. For 5 years, I have worked over 30 hours per week and starting Jan 14th, 2013, I no longer am allowed to do so. It is defying the anti-abuse clause in the preamble of the Federal Registry. See attached documentation for proof.
