I find it hard to believe that the Labor Dept. wants to rollback & weaken the
existing Union Financial Disclosure Rules. These have been very successful in
rooting out impriporities as seen by "Labor Department’s increased attention to
union financial disclosure resulted in more than 1,000 fraud indictments against
union officials between 2001 and 2008, resulting in 929 convictions and the
collection of $93 million in court-ordered restitution, according to the Associated
Press. "
How can you justify cutting back on these laws when it is so obviously needed.
Why would you weaken the government's ability to fight such proven to exist
corruption?
Please change your approach & leave these laws in place.
