I was wondering if it is possible or feasible to make child safety seats that children would be unable to unlatch, but parents could. I work as a public health nurse, and parents often comment to me that their children do not stay in their car seats because they are able to unlatch them. I realize that this is sometimes an issue of poor parenting. However, we have safety latches on back doors of cars that you can have "on" or "off" so kids are unable to open back doors of cars by themselves. Would this be something child safety seats could have? Sometimes parents are unable to pull over immediately when their child unlatches their car seat.
