This comment is highly in favor of requiring seatbelts on all buses, particularly school buses, tour buses used for school field trips and team transportation, senior citizens, et als. The Oak Hill Middle School bus tragedy in Newton showed that all people who remained on the bus stayed alive, some with minor injuries, while those thrown from the bus all died. Buses need to be safer, particularly for the younger and older population that rely on them. This is not to diminish the need for seatbelts on everyday commuter buses. I would like very much to have available to me and my loved ones every protection that will increase the likelihood of surviving a bus accident. Thank you very much.
