This is in short, what happen to the "Free Enterpise System" of the United States? Why should one business tell another business on how to run his/her business? Sounds like a mob mentality. The Truck Driver freedom is what is posted along the highways and byways of our great land. Our fore fathers found this country and to make free to roam, explore, and educate our people. Limiters are not the answer, those that particular want limiters is to slow down economic growth, I urge any of you committee members take a ride from Los Angeles to Denver in limited speed truck and then in unlimited speed truck, known as owner operator. JB Hunt is one of the biggest advocates, there own trucks are governed at 62mph! What right do they have in saying I should run at their rules??? Hmmmm... My business is to make money, my money is based on timing, my family welfare is based "Daddy" you have a check for us this week??? These scenarios don't show in in University Studies and Research, but they are the factors in this business, just go a 100 miles in our shoes for a day and you will see.
