Vehicle Identification Number Requirements

It would be useful if vehicle manufacturer's would include emissions certification information about the vehicle within the VIN configuration. This inclusion would be especially helpful for those jurisdictions who have opted to adopt California emissions standards and have chosen to deny vehicle registration to noncompliant vehicles.
