Many drivers are deciding to drive while using a cell phone, which is not a good choice due to the numerous accidents that occur for someone texting, answering, or making a call. The outcome could be fatal when considering actual driver reaction time, brake engagement, and the vehicle stopping distance. Some drivers are cautious of others; however, the average driver is only concerned and focused on getting to their destination and having a conversation. The time is now to break this cycle of accidents. My experience with death is minimal; however, I do not want to see our families and communities suffering from grief and economically struggling to recover from an accident based on a distraction that could have been avoided. I ask that you please reconsider banning cell phone usage while driving to protect our lives. Let us not wait for more of our loved ones lives to be taken or families destroyed before taken action on this issue.
