I agree that a four-cylinder engine with a manual transmission might not be indicative of the same vehicle with a six-cylinder engine with an automatic transmission option, even though they share the same body design and roof structure. I think it would be neccessary to design roof structures to meet the maximum weight that each body design would be required to carry. I do however believe that a crush-proof roof is something that vehicles should have and could potentially cut down on fatalities and injuries in a roll-over crash. I think the cost of it would be worth it.
