At the moment, we have an all or nothing approach. 25mph or 75mph+. 35mph wouldn't even be asking for middle ground. It's just barely above what is permitted now. There is no reason for any concern that these vehicles will be unsafe. With the right mix of added safety features paired with the increase of 10mph, vehicles in the new category would cause no more deaths than the current LSVs. I would also like to point out that bicycles are permitted to exceed 25mph on streets and highways, with minimal protection to the rider.
