I drive 1992 TOYOTA Truck and it certainly does not have the latest safety equipment. Millions of other drivers also have used cars without the advanced air bags and so on. Does NHTSA have any data to actually show that this very expensive mandated equipment actually works ? I have seen somewhere that Air Bag is only 4% more effective than seatbelts. Yet from all the warnings on all NEW cars you have to realize that air bags are very dangerous if not deadly ! If they were all that safe why are all those warnings on sun visors warning you of possible death or serious injury ? Now why could you not plaster some similar warnings all over the MSV, to let people know that it is not as safe as conventional car ? And let the consumber decide if they want all that "protection" or not, I for one DO NOT want anything blowing up in my face, so I am NOT buying any new car. I would love to have Electric Car that goes at least 35 MPH, and no I do NOT want any air bags in it ! It is equally ridiculous to have 3-wheel cars to be classified as motorcycle which in turn have absolutely no speed limit and no safety equipment ! Would it not be better to have them all classified as MSV, no matter how many wheels they have ?
