As a resident of Washington State which has a MSV law, and as a driver of what was originally only allowed to go 25mph and is now allowed to go 35mph you should create a federal equivalently to our MSV law. Without question my electric vehicle is more functional now than before but more importantly it is safer. Being able to travel with the flow of traffic is key to safety both to get out of trouble and to avoid pissing off other drivers who inevitably tailgate you when you are going 25 mph. Please increase the speed of these vehicles throughout the U.S. to a safe and functional 35mph speed atleast. In London their light electric vehicles are allowed to travel 45 mph which would be even safer.
