Although encouraging, I would prefer to see the
provision enacted immediately with no exclusion of
motorcoaches now in use since many of them already have
features for installation of seat belts.
This recommendation has been under consideration for over a decade; it hasbeen in legislative process for over several years.Meanwhile scores of deaths have continued.
The government has a responsibility to protect its
citizens, especially the young, the old and the poor
who are among the most frequently victimized by
the lack of safety measures on motorcoaches.
