Protected areas can create undue stress on the environment. Simply put evolution
is something that will always be happening within the environment. A protected
area simply is not going to change this fact. A few protected areas will not solve
the entire problem. For years there have been adjustments made to the # of fish
that could be caught and size and slot limits. 99% of the fisherman I believe
realize the importance of these rules. But making a permanent off limits ruling will
add to the overall costs to the taxpayers of this country to enforce the ruling and
the end result in the long term result will be the same. Take a step back and
really
look at the lack of impact this ruling will have versus the end long term result 30
years down the road. I just do not think this will work. Obviously everyone else
that
does not run a boat off the Carolina coast is all for it for one reason, better they (
Carolina fisherman) to have to deal with the rule than us, For the reasons listed
above I would ask that you re-consider ammendment 14 and vote against it. Thank
you for taling the time to read my comments.
