Attached are comments from Florida Marine Contractors Association, a statewide professional trade association representing the marine construction industry. We strongly oppose the Service's proposed smalltooth sawfish rule. We consider the science inadequate, the cost too significant, and the comment process completely unsatisfactory. We urge the Service to extend the comment period, and significantly reform its protocols for communicating with stakeholders. Incidentally, this attachment process is clumsy and does not work with Safari, the MacOS browser.
