September 20, 2008 To whom it may concern: I am writing in the support of the National Marine Fisheries Service proposes to amend the Bottlenose Dolphin Take Reduction Plan. This plan provides an innovative environmental policy that addresses the issue of overfishing and overexploitation of the various marine life resources. This plan will reduce the By- catch of the Bottlenose Dolphins and provide this species with the opportunity to create a healthy and sustainable population. This is a precautionary and early prevention plan that illustrates the importance of protecting endangered species and providing effective environmental policy implementation. I commend those that have taken the initiative and provided this plan to provide specific goals and objectives in order to protect the Bottlenose Dolphins. The plan produces effective outcomes and establishes benchmarks for other similar plans that tackle similar issues. Thank you for your hard work. Sincerely, Gabriel Martin
