The proposed changes for bycatch reduction devices in the shrimping industry is
bull shit. The shriming industry boat count went from 7,000 to about 1,000 or so
since the 1980. When the shrimping industry has decreased by 75% it doesn’t
take a rocket scientist to figure out what happens to bycatch reduction (there is
less bycatch) the national marine fisheries which is controlled by the yatch clubs
knows all this information. The national marine fisheries are the new pirates of the
gulf; they do whatever the yacht clubs tell them. The farming industry all across
the United States has been subsidized for over 50 years. Our organization the
national marine fisheries choose not to help, why don't you pay us not to shrimp.
The new national marine fisheries yacht club service is happy to see this happen
to the shrimping industry. I know when the council meet they are happy to see
this. I know now why shrimp license won't be issued until an economic condition
report is filled out. Why don't the national marine fisheries ask congress to help
the shrimping industry? If you need someone to talk to congress and tell them
what you are no telling them let me help.
