The only people that want to go to IFQ are the ones that have the most to gain. Fishing is my full time job as well as my only income. I wish we would do away with the snapper IFQ, go to an overall fleet Quota,with a reasonable and equal trip quota for everyone, no matter how much money you have,how big your boat is or how many people you know.Everyone should be given the chance to make a living. When I go fishing, I am doing it to provide for my family and when I have to watch as baracuda and dolphin feast on hundreds of pounds of red snapper that I have to let go instead keeping, selling and in return providing for my family It makes me sick!! If grouper goes to IFQ I am out of a job. There has got to be a better way where everyone wins and not just a few. Afterall this is AMERICA where everyone is or at least should be equal.
