I am in favor of stricter rules, such as Amendment 31, for longline fishing. Longline fishing is a destructive method which causes significant death to endangered and threatened sea animal species. The limits for "acceptable" bycatch should be reduced to smaller numbers, especially in areas where endangered animals breed, and I agree with the decision to prohibit longline fishing close to reefs fisheries.
