I am a commercial charterboat owner/operator and a former commercial fisherman. To protect the Pacific yelloweye and the other rockfish I support and encourage any changes decreasing the limits on those species AND other species whose harvest includes rockfish bycatch. The rockfish is an extremely slow maturing fish and it is imperative that we take more extreme action to protect them or they will dissappear. I would like to see a commercial and sport fishing moratorium below 60' depth. This would give any rockfish accidentally caught a chance of surviving after release.
