NMFS admitted mismanagement of our fisheries, has reduced the number of artificial reefs being deployed by 90%. I know because I own the largest reef deployment business in the USA. This affects two things, without new deployment of artificial reefs fish stocks will decrease and without reef orders I will have to go out of business. I know the economy is bad, but I've been in business for 40 years and I can tell you people will go fishing no matter how bad the economy is. NMFS has made fishing illegal for most of the year, so Alabama's 450 million dollar recreation fishery has been destroyed by NMFS, not the economy. We need two things to solve the problem, better management and some assistance to help us though this period of inactivity.
