I am strongly in favor of the designation of critical habitat for the Cook Inlet beluga whale. I also think that commercial fishing in Cook Inlet needs to be curtailed due to the fact that they have been allowed excessive emergency openings to harvest salmon. The salmon they are harvesting are a prime food source for the beluga. A diminished food source means that it will be harder to get recruitment of the beluga.
