I strongly oppose any relaxation of the fishing regulations, protecting the leatherback and loggerhead turtles. Could we not protect all wildlife before their numbers become so low that they have to be declared endangered or threatened? If the long-line fishing practices in Hawaii push these magnificient animals toward extinction then maybe we must reduce them further or ban them altogether instead of thinking about how many more we can kill before they go extinct.
