Gill net fishermen should not be required to carry VMS units because they currently have enough observer coverage. 98.1% of the fish that were caught in drift gill nets were sharks, which is what the fishermen were targeting. That is an excellent success rate. Do you agree? Contrary to popular beliefs, gill nets are the most selective way of fishing.
