I am a concerned citizen who lives near and uses the northeast fisheries for recreation and enjoyment. I am opposed to the trawlers operating in this fishery due to the destruction I have witnessed. Please allow the long line fisherman to continue to sustainably fish haddock in these fisheries as they have been doing responsibly. The trawling needs to be stopped because it can't be done in a environmentally responsible way. It is hurting everybody except the trawlers so why does it make sense to protect this detrimental fishing practice at the expense of everybody and everything else. Please do the right thing to preserve our precious resources- stop the dragging now!
