Western Pacific Pelagic Fisheries: Prohibiting Purse Seine Fishing in the U.S. EEZ Around Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, etc.

I support the proposed regulation to prohibit purse seine fishing in the U.S. EEZ around Guam and the Northern Marianas and to prohibit longline fishing within 30 nm of the Northern Mariana Islands. I am from the Northern Marianas and I have participated in Western Pacific Regional Fishery Council when these issues were discussed. It is imperative that local fishermen are protected in any federal fishery management plans that will be promulgated by the federal government. Thank you.. /s/ Joaquin P. Villagomez
