Pacific Halibut Fisheries: Catch Sharing Plan

My comment is regarding the start date for the sport Halibut season in the Strait of Juan de Fuca area 5. Please retain the start date of Thursday, May 20. There are two reasons for this request: 1) For the past several years this has been the opening week and many fishermen plan vacation schedules around that opening date and may have already had to put in requests for vacation days that coincide with that opening; 2) The tidal currents in that area are much slower that weekend and therefore much better for catching Halibut than the following week.
