It is encouraging to see your Organization consider spearfishing as an allowable alternative to the less survivable methods of harvest such as long lines, rod and reel, and nets. I have been an active spearfisherman for over 20 years and I have always been able to select fish of legal size and species without harm to all others. While I disagree with your science an actions to totaly close an area it is refreshing to see a glimer of understanding about what does and does not hram a fishery. Hopefully you will not lean one way or another to special interest. Thank You for the opportunity to comment THE SAUCEMAN
