Your actions as a government for the people is very disturbing. I have never seen such draconian measures as these. It is a sad day when the government takes away a national past time of fishing from its people. It is apparent that the special interest also have hold and run departments like NOAA and the NMFS. It is obvious that the commercial fishing interest are in control especially when the recreational sector is only given 3 percent of the fish and the rest go to the commercial groups. I am all for ending overfishing, but where I fish there is an abundance of all the fish that are being reported overfish. It makes you wonder were the government are getting their data they did not ask me that much I know. Maybe the PEW foundation ! I would support a closed season of Jan 1 to May 31 but shutting down the entire season for years to come is out of the question and not accepatable. I am not sure why I am writing this because I no longer trust our government to do the right thing.
