I read Amendment 17B, you guys are killing us! Please give the commercial fisherman a catch share for each individual license holder. Spread the grouper, vermilion snapper, red snapper, black sea bass and red porgy commercial quota to each license holder. After talking to other fisherman and sea food markets this is the only viable way to keep everyone from closing or going broke. We commercial fisherman can change the way we fish and work all year long and the seafood markets will have fish to sell year round. By the way the venting of undersized or illegal fish works I can't think of any fish that I released that did not make it back to the bottom. Please consider this. I set my bass pots 2 times this year before the quota was met. The fisherman around Hatteras catch all of the quota during the summer before we start bass fishing, It just isn't fair.
