Amendment 17B is lacking true recent landings data and has a tone of special interest that glares unfairness. They has been no real accurate data gathered from actual Fisherman on the water deep dropping. Our vessels are ones that take advantage of the deep water fish and truly depend on the option. We feel that deep dropping is a guarantee every time for our clients and see no reason to shut down such a "guarantee". Very few Fisherman engage in deep dropping and even less have been due to the economic structure of the country and globe. At no time have we felt the deep drop option was being over fished in the entire Florida Keys. The allocation split seems to be formed with malice. Shameful suggestion that adds to the opinion of special interest control of an American heritage.
