Implementation of Fish and Fish Product Import Provisions of the Marine Mammal Protection Act

I would like to see restrictions implemented. A quick label check reveals that a majority of the fish found in supermarkets is imported from other countries. With these rules in place, the consumer can be assured that this fish was caught with minimal bycatch risk to marine mammals world wide. Also the unfair price advantage to imported fish will be leveled, with the advantage of promoting more local and sustainably fished products. This rule is not only a positive move for Marine mammals, but for our local fisheries as well. Please implement this rule!
