As President of the South Umpqua Rural Community Partnership I would like to *affirm* the decision to promulgate the ruling to classify the Oregon Coastal Coho as threatened. This ruling is essential to the efforts of restoration ecology being implemented in the ESU. In particular this is critical in those areas of Douglas County directly impacted by current timber industry management practices.
On behalf of our organization I want to commend the BRT for their clear and long term view of the species status and potential dangers facing its life history.
