It seems that all proposed regulations on reef fishing are being made in a vacuum of knowledge. The oil companies are blowing the crap out of rigs ion the central and south Gulf of mexico. While the seasons and bag limits are being reduced, the loss of habitat and killing of millions of reef fish is being ignored! We who make our living and those who depend upon the rec. sector for their living are greatly concerned that this habitat reduction and fish kill is the end of our livelihood. What happened to rigs to reefs? We need regulatory help on the oil companies on this. Well--in many cases it is too late!
