I am against the cod closure proposed. I have a 16' boat and in may/june this is my only chance to catch cod and haddock when they are in close. This is not fair. If this is to protect big spawning cod, then there should have been a slot limit of 28-40" to protect the biggest female cod. 1/2 or more are male cod and there is no harm catching them. I also catch haddock here andit is not fair that I can't fish for haddock and toss back (unharmed) any cod I catch. This is not fair and makes it so the only way to catch cod is either you have a big boat or have the $$ to go on a charterboat or partyboat that I don't have. I am against this and it should be rejected. I just found out about this last week and I can't believe I paid for a SW fishing license last week and now i won't be able to fish in the area that i got the SW license to fish in. I demand a refund if this closure happens.
