While overfishing is a significant problem in the United States, I think that focusing only on specific breed of fish, the Monkfish is not going to be very productive. While I do think that the Monkfish should be protected, I think broader legislation that focuses on overfishing on both coasts of the United States needs to be put in place so that we have uniform regulations to follow for all species of fish.
