Endangered and Threatened Species: Threatened Status for Distinct Population Segments of Bearded Seal

I generally err on the side of caution, so I would prefer to list the Distinct Population Segments of Bearded Seal as Threatened under the ESA. Then after several years, if the conditions of the sea-ice cover continue to provide suitable habitat, or if it improves, then you can reevaluate delisting this species. Protecting all wildlife species from extinction is significantly more important to me than taking a risk of permanent loss.
