Dear Gulf Council, Please, please, please come to your senses. There is no need to further restrict the taking of amberjack. There was no need to limit them to one fish in the first place! There have been amberjack on every single dive I've made in the last 5 years. Every single one; in state and federal waters. I don't really need them tearing up my gear, so I generally avoid them. So do most fishermen. When is the last time you saw amberjack behind the counter at the grocery store? Never? When is the last time your neighbor invited you over for an amberjack fish fry? Never? Exactly! What the hell are you people thinking? The data they have given you is a load of crap. You have videos showing you it's crap. You have dozens of people telling you it's crap. This regulation is a total farce designed to do nothing more than chip away at the right of each and every person to go fishing for food.
