I agree that the snapper have made a great comback due to the decreased shrimping effort and an accountable commercial fishery. I will gladly take any additional poundage thereby extending the season. I do think however, that we should concentrate on getting a full summer season, june1-sept 30 before considering a fall season. i do also think that having the ability to move a partial season to the fall should be kept as an option to be considered in the event of another disaster, natural or man-made. Along with this I would also like the Council to continue to look at splitting the gulf into 2-3 regions as was brought up at a couple of council meetings at the end of 2010. once again, thank you for your considerations on this matter.
