As a new offshore boat owner, I'm begining to think I may have made a huge mistake. In the short amount of time I have owned the boat, Grooper and Amberjack have had new regulations impossed and there is less and less to fish for. Add in the cost of fuel and it's just becomming a foolish adventure.
Please consider raising the rec quotas AND having a period of the season that is weekend only. If it were not for the special weekends only seasson last year I would not have been able to make a single snapper trip in 2010. I'm also urging you to consider a more regional approach to fisheries managment as one rule fits all is a proven disaster.
