As a fellow beach goer, i am deeply concerned about how the new proposed habitats for monk seals will affect beach access to the public. I do my part in keeping the reef clean...picking up trash, etc...and making sure all of my stuff is taken care of before i leave the beach. I enjoy camping and spending time along the shoreline and in the waters around Oahu. I know that I am not the only one concerned. I'm sure that there are many other people that enjoy spending time on the water as much as I do and share the same concerns. Please reconsider the critical habitats for the Hawaiian Monk Seals and please keep the public in mind. The last thing I want to see is restricted beach access and a ban on recreational activities around the proposed areas on Oahu. It is unfair to the general public and deprives future generations from fully enjoying the beauty and wonder that our waters have to offer.
