Environmental protections in the United States have been questioned for years because of their effect on human beings. However, we must think about the effect of OUR actions on other species. Because of our hunting and fishing throughout history we have caused many species to go endangered and even extinct. If we control ourselves NOW and think about the consequences, we may be able to reverse our mindset. We cannot abuse the nature in which we live in. This proposed rule is excellent because it sets limits that work to decrease the overfishing prevalent in society. We may not feel that we are taking advantage of the species, but these limits will help keep nature in check.
