I am surprised that a government office would allow information concerning this proposed rule to be public. I have never read such convoluted, asinine, and ignorant rationale. This is clearly a situation of government control abusing their "authority" in order to reach a desired goal.
How many fish are in the ocean? The federal government obviously knows this because they are certain that every species of fish is at the brink of extinction. What a joke! Ever old-timer commercial fisherman I have encountered has told me they are catching more fish than ever. However, since these men (who have spent a majority of their lives on the water) do not have a Phd, they must be ignorant old fools. The government believes that they so smart, they know exactly what is happening on the ocean floor. Meanwhile, they are sitting in office drawing federal tax funds.
I absolutely disagree with everything contained in this gag grouper proposed rule. I agree with option 1 for commercial and recreational accounts (remove temporary rules and bring back previous fishing regulations).
