I want NOAA and NMFS to do a better, more accurate job of estimating current fish populations and rate of removal. I want rules to be based on facts, not subjective assessments. Listen to the fishermen! Find out what they are catching. Learn what they are not catching. Take a scientific approach! My comment stems from the red snapper limits. Recreational fishermen are only allowed to keep two. The Gulf of Mexico around Pensacola is full of red snapper. I can not believe they are over fished!!!!! Please base your rules on sound scientic evidence.
