Considering the state of our economy and considering the fact that recreational anglers spend a substaintail percentage of their expendable income on the vessels, rigging and other provisions to enjoy our offshore waters, it is punitive in nature to continue to close off the fishing from 240 out to 200 miles to "recreational anglers."
First off, the science being relied on appears to be driven by activists, not scientists;
Secondly, lifting the ban supports the local economy as the anglers affected are expending their own financial resources to partake in their right to fish in these areas.
Having government infringe in yet another area of our lives should be the LAST thing a good government by the people should be doing.
Respectfully submitted, Dennis Fano
