Fisheries of the United States: National Standard 1 Guidelines; Reopening of Public Comment Period

We concur with Dr. Richard Parrish’s recommendation that the National Standards should establish generic goals (i.e. prevent overfishing) and allow the “how to” scientific decisions to be made by the Fishery Management Teams, the SSCs and the regional Fishery Management Councils. Please consider specific recommendations and rationale in the attached comment letter. Thank you.
