The new quota should go into effect Aug. 1 as Roy Crabtree you rep to SEFMC said it would . As a new opening at the new quota of 541295 lbs. If openend and subtracted from fish caught this year, only 300lbs. a trip would be allow. This would cut out longliner's. Ben Hartig vice-chairman of SEFMC has already grabed 25% of the quota for him self and hook + line boats in amendment 18b. This is 150% more per year then hook+liners have caught since 1981. The fair way to do it is a new opening at new the quota of 541295 lbs. Aug. 1 which is 420,000lbs. less then MSY. The stock assement has proved there is no over fishing 2011. The ABC should already be in affect .
