I am a retired civil service employee living on the coast of Alabama and have my entire life. I personally know shrimpers and I personally am involved with sea turtles - their nesting as well as their strandings. Please support the use of TED's in skimmers. There are many novice shrimpers that do not give a hoot about the environment - they only care to make money at any price to the sea turtles and other sea life. Shrimpers destroy enough dragging the ocean floors and now that they have found an end around by using skimmers that don't require TED's, they are migrating to that means of shrimping. I beg you, look in the eyes of a dead sea turtle and tell me what you personally would do. I would hope and pray that you too understand that we are their only voice. Please enforce TED's in Skimmer's. Thank you
